Can women's fashion over fifty be fabulous? Most definitely. The fashion arena for mature women that once included muumuu dresses and ugly grandma sweaters is fortunately long gone! Today's mature woman feels, thinks, and looks younger than her age. She seeks out fashion-forward clothes that allow her to portray a confident, youthful, and vibrant image.

At Torrid, we break all the rules by taking measurements on actual women, not mannequins, to create plus size fashion that's fit to perfection. Each of our collections showcases flawless looks, comfortable fabrics, and versatile trendy plus size clothing for sizes 10 – 30 (check out our size guide)… With the days getting longer, we know you’ve got places to go, and going places equals new outfits! Peep this: our sweet plus size dresses made for Sunday outings, weddings, family photos and brunch (hopefully with mimosas). And with the weather catching up with your day dreams, picture yourself rocking cute and comfy plus size jeans in a park for a picnic date or playdate. Of course with sun, comes swim season. And you’re finally going to enjoy buying a swimsuit with our fun and easy mix and match bikinis. Our entire collection of plus size swimsuits is sexy and comfortable — you’ve never felt so confident with wet hair, trust us. So yeah, your social calendar may get full, but in any (and every) event, you’re going to look and feel incredible. Don’t forget about our plus size intimates - we spent years perfecting Torrid Curve®, our line of bras in band sizes 36 to 50 (cups B through H), and gorgeous, lacy plus size lingerie that will make your heart race. From bralettes to babydolls, these sexy little pieces accentuate all the right curves so you feel totally irresistible… At Torrid, we believe a real fit in plus size fashion is life changing. It’s what you want in plus size clothing, and it’s what we do best.

While lace-up gladiators are key in the sandal game next spring, the most surprising footwear trend to come out of the SS20 shows was the boot. In what can be seen perhaps as a signal of the loosening of seasonality, numerous designers chose to accessorise their spring collections with what was previously winter-appropriate footwear. Christopher Kane did it with the cowboy, Saint Laurent made it slouchy, while Prada and Pyer Moss championed the leather knee-high and Molly Goddard and Loewe gave boots a summertime spin with an injection of bright colour.
About Blog Welcome to Sharing A Journey! As women of a certain age, we know that while our bodies may have different ideas, we are still having fun, enjoying life, and full of dreams. The best part is that now we actually have the tools and wisdom to make them come true. My nest is empty, and I've been exploring and reconnecting to interests, passions and friends.
Seems counterintuitive for a woman to put so many restrictions on other women and claim they are being supportive and helpful. Wearing the “right” clothing is about us learning what looks good on our particular bodies (that’s for all ages) not putting into place some social restrictive standard that will continue to put women in a box! Why are we still so bent on telling women what to do? Are we so jealous of the hot 50 year olds in bikinis that we have to use peer pressure tactics in order to compensate for our own insecurities? Come on women! We should be celebrating each other! Can I add, what the heck is wrong with florals???
Curvy is beautiful and our plus, plus petite and extended size styles are here to show off that beauty.  You can feel confident in knowing that our designers have you in mind when designing new styles. Looking to style that new top you just bought?  Our plus skirts, pants and jeans are ready when you are.  Heading out with the ladies or looking to build your workwear wardrobe?  One of our plus jumpsuits or dresses may be just what you need.
In the fast-paced fashion industry, it can often feel like there's a glaring lens always refocusing on what's youthful and new. But here at Who What Wear, we're inspired by women of every age, which is why we figured it was high time to give a few of our favorite over-50 trendsetters a little love. These bloggers and Instagram stars have carved their own niches by staying true to their unique senses of style and by mixing trends with styles they've kept in their arsenals over time.
After working in Marketing and Business Development for a few years, Pratima Ati jumped ship to pursue two things she loved – fashion and writing. She’s now a full-time Fashion & Lifestyle writer and has never looked back ever since. She sleeps early, reads often, and when she can't, she finally gives a closure to all the characters living in her drafts. Sometimes, they pass off as poetry too! That, and her training in Indian classical music and playing (learning) the veena keep her sane, civil, and bearable.
Whether you’re looking for jeans, capris or open leg pants, you’ll discover them at VENUS. Many of the pants options have sewn-in control panels that smooth and slim your tummy, thighs and derriere. Choose from comfy leggings, too, in a multitude of prints and styles. Skirts come in all lengths from mini to maxi. Comfortable cut-off, cuffed and Bermuda shorts make a great addition to any casual warm-weather wardrobe.

Her blog about fashion over 50 was created specifically to help other women avoid the mistakes she made. “I thought other people might learn something from this,” she says. “You lose your way fashion-wise taking care of kids and aging parents. I thought maybe I could save people some steps if I shared what I learned.” Street describes her 50+ style as modern and feminine with “a little rocker edge. It’s a little bit more sophisticated than I wore most of my life,” she says.

About Blog I started 1010ParkPlace for the best-educated, most powerful women in history: women over 50. Here you can find like-minded women and relevant conversations about finances, fashion, music and food; interviews with inspiring women and straight-talk about health, divorce, death of a spouse, sex and bold conversations to reawaken your passions and make life count.
Just as yellow reigned supreme on the autumn/winter catwalks, another bright colour was prevalent for the new season with designers across the cities injecting tangerine orange into their collections. Seen in ballgown form at Valentino and Emilia Wickstead, in day dresses at Stella McCartney and Rejina Pyo and in separates at Prada and Ferretti, there is no bolder way to brighten up your SS20 wardrobe.
What’s fluoro pink, orange, blue, green, and yellow, and refuses to blend in with the crowd? All the highlighter-inspired neons gracing your favorite catwalks, from Tom Ford to Christopher John Rogers, and Courreges. Subtle may not be her specialty, but these vibrant shades pair wonderfully with black, white, or tan, and know how to make an entrance.

I had wrinkles around my eyes and mouth and on one cheek (the one I sleep on). I've used Dermalmd cellulite treatment every night for almost 4 weeks and I can see a difference. The wrinkles at my mouth have reduced significantly, as have the ones on my cheek. The ones round the outside of my eyes are less noticeable and the black circles around my eyes are much improved! This serum great and goes on without any greasy feeling or stickiness. Also a little goes a long way. Happy to recommend.
According to Dorrie Jacobson, Senior Style Bible was created to inspire a more modern approach to fashion. Dorrie is a retired Playboy Bunny, model, make-up artist and is considered an expert on aging with style. She is launching a lifestyle brand that celebrates older women. Dorrie is quoted as saying, “It’s important to have a signature style that is modern, fashionable and most importantly, still turns heads. My heart still skips a beat when I spy something I adore. If fashion has the power to do that, I’m happy to grow old, as long as I can do it looking great.”
Looking for a way to top off the perfect pair of jeans? Go bold with an artfully low-cut V-neck tee-shirt or an off-the-shoulder sweater. Tailored blouses can go from nice to naughty just by undoing a couple of buttons. VENUS has camo tops, nautical blouses and lumber jacket shirts that work nicely when you’re going for that tomboy look, plus strappy faux leather and eye-catching sequined creations when you want to put your girliest self forward.

In years past, there were certain "rules" women were expected to follow, directing how they should or should not dress after a certain age. Fashion over 50 used to mean putting your wardrobe in what amounted to a sartorial retirement home! Not anymore. We know now that fashion for women over 50 (or over 40, or over 30) is whatever a woman wants it to be. The real challenge lies where it always does: finding wearable, modern clothes to fit your lifestyle, budget, and figure.

I agree with Catherine below. As a 51 year old, I like to wear what I want and that includes shopping at American Eagle Outfitter for jeans. I avoid low -waist jeans, but find they have a great variety of mid-rise to high-rise casual jeans at reasonable prices. I also own two pairs of Doc Martens shoes that I adore - one plain black and one floral - they are fun. Don't think it really matters - I say wear what you like and feel comfortable in. So what?
